I am assertive at work

I am assertive at work.

At my job, I carry myself with confidence because I know I am a valuable employee. The superior quality of the work I produce reflects the intense passion I put into everything I do. I am able to fearlessly speak up for myself because I have earned the right to be heard.

I deserve to work in an environment where I am respected and comfortable. If I ever disagree with a decision, I bring it up expecting to be heard. The people I work with listen to what I have to say because I am gracious with my speech.

I refrain from putting others down even when I find myself at odds with them. My conversations are free from personal attacks because I keep the focus on the situation rather than on the individual. My ability to separate people from behaviors allows me to react with tact.

When I have an idea I want to share, I do so in a timely manner. I assert myself when it is tough to get a word in. With poise and a confident voice, I command the attention of others as I express my point of view. I speak up for myself so I can be at peace.

My self-assurance is stronger than fear and doubt. Life is too short to only make choices that are safe. With each risk I embrace, I empower myself with courage for the next challenge I may face.

Today, I choose to stand up and speak out for myself at work because I am a valuable employee who deserves to be heard.
