DEVYANI brings a variety of Business & Personal outcomes to Life with real stories from 4 continents of the world. She has uprooted, lived, developed connections, and absorbed the culture of people, the work, it’s environment and industries from her experience through her work across the globe.
With a global experience throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Africa; in sectors of the financial markets, technology, airlines industry and retail; She has gained hands-on industry experience across the decades. The several market impacts that have affected lives, companies and economies has led to years of counsel and coaching for her corporate and private clients.
After kicking of a tech career in building airline systems around the world, she transformed to a career on Wall Street, from VP, to Managing Director at the New York Stock Exchange, and then working for Tier 1 Banking clients such as Deutsche Bank, HSBC and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The journey from building airline and cargo systems to surveillance algo’s for Trading Floors to strategic start-up opportunities has provided insight at all levels of the workplace. Achieving success in managing people, corporate politics and demands, the personal hurdles and transforming corporate initiatives, has proven that hard work, deep relationships and positive attitude can carve out what success can look like for any individual.
Growing up with a background of family businesses, to immigrant parents that drove values of commitment, independence and integrity; this upbringing goes hand in hand with understanding personal values and drive in business, in capital, in people and what matters – which, in the end, it’s what makes the world go round.
As a strong advocate for Women in Business, she is highly spirited and passionate in supporting young women towards growing their career or entrepreneurship and creating the business mind. Most importantly, contribution to society and it’s needs are the driving force behind this business.
Educated with an MBA from New York University and having completed the SIIFMA Securities Institute programme of management at Wharton Business School, my contribution as Past president of the Entrepreneurs Club HK and founding member of TiE Hong Kong will continue to grow and serve people.
